Looking back over the past five months to May, which might have been the month the industry hit its rock-bottom gloomiest, we can now see distinct signs of a big improvement for travel consultants.
In our salary poll in May, 17% of respondents said they were unemployed due to COVID but only 9% said this applied to them last month (October).
And at the other end of the scale, in May this year only 17% of agents said they were earning 100% of their previous monthly salary. Our October survey showed that this number has now risen to 29%.
It’s not perfect, but it’s some progress for the industry.
