Istanbul Airport has opened a Youth Lounge at the International Terminal Departure Level, offering an exclusive, relaxing and enjoyable travel experience for young people.
The lounge is designed for passengers in the 15- to 30-year-old age group. It offers a four-hour WiFi service for €5 (R80), a PlayStation music system, giant screen projector, table soccer, free board games, current comics, and occasional live performances.
Ersin Inankul, the airport’s Chief Digital and Commercial Officer, said at the opening of the lounge: "We continue to work and plan every detail so that all our guests can leave feeling completely satisfied from the very first moment that they set foot in the airport.”
Students from Boğaziçi University and Istanbul University contributed to the lounge during the design stage.
