Key aviation summit this month

African Aviation Services’ annual Air Finance Africa Conference will take place from Wednesday, May 10, to Friday, May 12, at the Sandton Convention Centre. 

The theme of the conference is ‘Air finance strategies for recovery and growth’.

African Aviation Services has held the Air Finance Africa Conference for 31 years in order to foster dialogue and business, primarily between African airlines, aviation banks, aircraft lessors and aircraft manufacturers. It has provided a valuable service to the African airline industry and has helped promote aviation development on the continent.

The conference Chair is Nick Fadugba, of African Aviation Services. The provisional programme shows an excellent line-up of speakers, among them the most authoritative voices in aviation today in Africa and beyond.  Speakers and panel guests include Rodger Foster of Airlink, Aaron Munetsi of AASA,  Gidon Novick of Lift, Miles van der Molen of CemAir, Mesfin Bekele of Ethiopian, Derek Hanekom, (Chair of the SAA board), Prof John Lamola of SAA,  George Uriesi of Ibom,  Joao Jorge of LAM, among many others.
