Lanseria cuts unnecessary parking expenses

Lanseria International Airport has opened a new car park waiting area that allows customers to avoid unnecessary parking expenses when collecting friends and relatives. The new facility, called Ring & Ride, is located along the entrance road to the airport. Customers can follow the signage into the new parking area to wait in their vehicle, free of charge for up to an hour.  Once their flight has landed, passengers can ring their friends and family to let them know they are ready for collection.  Drivers can then proceed to the Drop & Go facility to collect them.   “The new waiting area will ensure our ‘Meeters and Greeters/Kissers and Wavers’ can enjoy a speedy pick-up, especially over busy periods like the festive season,” said Gavin Sayce, CEO of Lanseria International Airport.
Parties who need to wait longer than an hour are advised to make use of the standard parking area. Drivers must stay in their vehicles while waiting.
The new Ring & Ride facility, which is also available to tour operators, will be in operation from December 4.
