Live Asata Summit starts today

The Asata Live Summit takes place from November 14-16 and will include a variety of exciting topics that are relevant to the current state of travel.

It’s for members only, but there is still time to join Asata and get the benefit of this great knowledge-sharing forum – see joining and registration details below.

"We can all agree that we are navigating uncharted territory, and initiatives such as the Asata Live Summit affords members the opportunity to collaborate and engage with industry peers, expert panellists and key partners, discussing topics that are vitally important for the sustainability of the travel industry," says Otto de Vries, CEO of Asata. 

"We have a host of expert panellists who will be sharing cutting-edge insights, immense knowledge and practical guidance on how to navigate a complex travel landscape. It is not to be missed!"

 Asata members can look forward to:

 Day 1:

  • Business Index Insights, presented by De Vries and Natalia Rosa, Director of Big Ambitions.
  • Airline and travel payments, presented by Paul van Alfen, MD of Up in the Air.

Day 2:

  • 21st Century Travel Agent – ‘Real Skills’, presented by Otto de Vries and Natalia Rosa.
  • Collection of data and using data to enhance the travel experience, presented by Claudia Unger, Founder of Corporate Travel Unpacked and Author of Corporate Travel: Hiding in Plain Sight.
  • The risks of not using a graded establishment and ensuring compliance, presented by Genevieve Joseph, Quality Protection Manager of TGCSA (Tourism Grading Council of South Africa).

Day 3:

  • Asata’s Legal Counsel, Elizabeth de Stadler will address various topics, including terms and conditions, the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO), and managing consumer complaints. 

 

There will also be supplier partner sessions led by Emirates, Okomo and Norwegian Cruise Line.
