Madagascar Airlines to increase Paris service

Madagascar Airlines (formerly Air Madagascar) will introduce a second weekly flight between Antananarivo and Paris this European summer, reports Airspace Africa.

The Malagasy national carrier will operate the added frequency from June 13 until September 13 using an Airbus A340-300 configured with 30 seats in business class, 21 in Economy Plus, and 224 in economy.

The service will depart Antananarivo on Wednesdays and Sundays at 22h00, arriving in Paris at 08h05 the next day. The return flight will depart Paris on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 15h50, arriving in Antananarivo at 04h00 the next day.

The airline, a result of the merger of Air Madagascar and Tsaradia, will face competition on this route from established carriers such as Air France and Corsair, who operate flights between Antananarivo and Paris via Réunion.

Indirect options are also available through carriers like Air Austral, Air Mauritius, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, and Turkish Airlines.

Madagascar Airlines also offers flights to nine domestic and four regional airports.
