Major appointment for Reynolds Travel Centre

REYNOLDS Travel Centre
has officially been
appointed the GSA for
Wendy Wu in South Africa,
effective from the beginning
of this year. This comes after
Wendy Wu rescinded its
contract with Royal African
Discoveries.
Mary Reynolds, md of
Reynolds Travel Centre, told
TNW Reynolds Travel had
opened a separate division
to handle all reservations on
January 1, with dedicated
staff.
“We will be processing
all enquiries for new
reservations, scheduled
tour departures and tailormade
tours to China, Hong
Kong, Tibet, Japan, India and
beyond.”
She says she is looking
forward to implementing an
“exciting strategy to market
the brand to the travel trade”.
Mary says she will be offering,
amongst others, incentives,
preferred partner agreements,
sponsorships, TI Workshops
and competitions as well as
educationals.
Training will be the main
focus for Reynolds Travel to
familiarise consultants with
the Wendy Wu product and
destinations, comments Mary.
“Our goal is to highlight
this affordable and amazing
product to the South African
travel industry – which hasn’t
been fully exposed to this way
of selling the Far East.”
Mary is confident that China
and Indo-China will become
popular destinations for South
African travellers in the year to
come, as they are surprisingly
affordable. “The prices for
such a high-end and exclusive
product will be quoted in
RMB and USD as opposed
to GBP.”
Wendy Wu, owner of Wendy
Wu Tours, says the brand is
looking forward to working
with Reynolds Travel Centre
in SA. “Their relationships
are second to none and their
honest and open approach is
one that marries well with
the Wendy Wu Tours
philosophy.”
