LESS than a year after
introducing Lanseria-Port
Elizabeth flights, Mango
has cut the service for the
foreseeable future, effective
from January 15.
Ceo, Nico Bezuidenhout,
told TNW that the
removal was unrelated to
restructuring processes at
SAA and confirmed that
there would be no other
route cancellations.
“This is largely because
its substantial investment
in trying to stimulate
demand in the market with
various sales campaigns
and marketing drives did
not materialise,” says
Sergio Santos-Van Vuuren,
spokesperson for Mango
Airlines.
The airline launched the
new route in July, with 14
flights per week.
Passengers booked to
travel on this route will either
be accommodated on OR
Tambo to PE flights or will be
refunded
