Marine Hotel goes into conferencing

The Marine Hotel in Hermanus will launch a new conference and function venue in July. The versatile, airy event space will be available for corporate events, executive strategy meetings and getaways.

Half- and full-day conference packages are available for groups of up to 60 delegates, with the inclusion of audio-visual and conference equipment suitable for in-person and hybrid events, according to afritraveller.com.

A dedicated restaurant will cater for meetings, conferences and events, seating up to 48 guests for meals or cocktails, with Head Chef Oelof Vorster creating tailor-made offerings.

The 80-seat Pavilion Restaurant is also available for conference dining.

GM Michel Bouic says The Liz McGrath Collection, which heads up the five-star hotel, has heeded the requirement of the growing business community in Hermanus and the greater Overberg region for a world-class meeting venue that offers excellent value, warm hospitality, and service to match.

“The venue is, however, also designed as an attractive option for executive meetings and smaller conferences from Cape Town and upcountry,” says Bouic.
