Marriott opens 50% of SA portfolio

Marriott International has opened over 50% of its South African properties to people permitted to travel under Advanced Level 3 lockdown, according to a release.

The following hotels are operating as of July 8:

Protea Hotel by Marriott Durban Umhlanga

Protea Hotel by Marriott George Outeniqua

These properties will offer non-sharing accommodation and feature food and beverage offerings in line with current regulations. Each property has implemented extensive health and safety protocols to ensure the safety of guests and hotel associates, including increased and more effective cleaning and disinfecting, plus measures to minimise contact and reinforce social distancing.
