The much-anticipated first snow of the year has fallen in the Drakensberg.
The South African Weather Service said it had come earlier than expected this year because of colder and stormy weather and had brought light snowfall on the southern parts of the Drakensberg and Maluti mountains.
It may not be as good as the real thing, but you can catch sightings of the snow via SnowReportSA’s webcams and pictures on its social media pages posted by the people living in the surrounding mountain ranges.
