The good news about Mauritius just keeps on rolling in.

BA Comair has announced it will add an extra flight on Thursdays.

This will be BA Comair’s third flight every week, added to the Tuesday and Saturday flights, which start operating from November 30.

The airline says the aircraft used will be a B737-800, with BA Comair’s usual full service, and with an economy and a business-class cabin.

Brian Kitchin, Executive Sales & Marketing for Comair, said: “As we are nearing the end of Tourism Month, we could not be more excited to introduce a third weekly flight to Mauritius with our premium airline, British Airways (operated by Comair). Our customers have eagerly been waiting for Mauritius to reopen its international borders and travellers can now look forward to starting their island vacation experiencing the British Airways’ full-service hospitality, which includes a choice of Club (Business Class) and Traveller (Economy), a selection of complimentary meals and beverages, as well as more cabin space. We are pleasantly surprised by the high demand and it seems our South African travellers can’t wait to have their year-end holiday on the beautiful island of Mauritius!’

The schedule is now:

Johannesburg – Mauritius

Tuesday – departs JNB 09h55, arrives MRU 16h05

Thursdays - departs JNB 09h55, arrives MRU 16h05

Saturdays – departs JNB 09h10, arrives MRU15h30

The airline says the third flight is already bookable in the GDSs.
