MSC Cruises has revised MSC Magnifica’s 2026 world cruise to avoid destinations in the Red Sea region. The revised itinerary introduces new African and Indian Ocean destinations
“Due to ongoing geopolitical instability in the Red Sea region and following a comprehensive assessment with our Security Team and external partners, we have made the difficult decision to adjust the planned itinerary to avoid transiting through affected areas,” said MSC Cruises.
The 119-day cruise has been extended by 13 days and will now make the following calls in Africa as part of its new itinerary:
- Victoria, Seychelles
- Port Louis, Mauritius
- Réunion
- Durban and Cape Town, South Africa
- Walvis Bay, Namibia
- Cape Verde
The ship will sail roundtrip from Rome from January to May, 2026.
