The Namibia Airport Company (NAC) plans to upgrade the facilities at Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) in Windhoek, Katima Mulilo Airport (MPA), Rundu Airport (NDU) and Lüderitz Airport (LUD).

According to a press statement released after the company’s AGM on July 19, the airport infrastructure developments for the next three financial years include:

  • The WDH congestion alleviation project which plans to extend the VIP facilities, VVIP facilities and the Presidential Lounge, as well as parking configuration at the cost of NAD18 million (R18 million).

  • The apron expansion at WDH at a cost of NAD100 million (R100 million), provided by the Namibian government over a two-year period.

  • The construction of Terminal 3 at WDH, with ongoing discussions with the government about an optimal financing structure for the project.

  • The construction of new terminal buildings at MPA, NDU and LUD.
