Radisson Hotel Group has unveiled new esport services and amenities, eSports Ready, designed to cater for the needs of travelling esports teams, players and event organisers.

Developed in partnership with Spacefwd, an esports and gaming consultancy, the programme offers high-performance infrastructure and services. This includes 500/500 Mbps symmetric Internet with guaranteed 100% uptime, cabled connections, and back-up lines to ensure uninterrupted gameplay and high-quality broadcasts.

To support teams, Radisson also offers private gaming rooms, secure storage, lounges and services designed to accommodate unconventional training and competition schedules.

This move comes as global esports is set for rapid expansion, with projections valuing the market at US$13,7 billion (R255,3 billion) by 2032 globally, with particularly strong growth in the Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East regions.

The hotel group has designated more than 100 of its properties as esports-ready, including Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel in Delhi Airport and Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Bangkok.
