Following a corruption enquiry, several news agencies have reported that Krešimir Kučko, Air Mauritius’s CEO, has stepped down.

Kučko, a Croatian national, was appointed CEO of Air Mauritius in December 2022. Just nine months later, he and Jean Laval Al Chip, CFO of the airline, were suspended after an investigation into a sponsored hotel stay in France.

As more details emerge, a new CEO of Air Mauritius has been announced on the airline’s social media pages.

Charles Cartier joins as the carrier’s 11th CEO since 2000. He was previously President of the Outsourcing and Telecommunications Association of Mauritius.
