New codeshare opens Mexico for Virgin pax

Virgin Atlantic Airways has signed a codeshare agreement with AeroMexico, allowing easier travel between the airlines’ destinations.

The partnership will create seamless connections between the UK, USA and Mexico. The agreement allows passengers to fly direct from Heathrow to Mexico City, as well as opening up a number of destinations to Virgin passengers within Mexico, including Guadalajara, Cancun, Los Cabos, Leon and Monterrey from AeroMexico’s base in Mexico City. Virgin’s destinations North America can now also be booked with AeroMexico, including key hubs such as Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Miami and San Francisco.

Customers booking the new codeshare routes will be able to connect between both airlines with one booking reference and check-in. The agreement came into effect in mid-December.
