New expo for Zululand

28 Jan 2000 - by Dave Marsh

THE annual Zululand Trade Fair, scheduled for June 22-24 this year, has been replaced by a new show, the Zululand Expo which will be held at Community Park in Richards Bay from September 28-30.
This decision, announced by events manager, Virna McMaster, was taken following the merging of the Zululand Trade Fair Association with the Zululand Chamber of Business Foundation (ZCBF) late last year.
The ZCBF will be the umbrella body for the Zululand Expo, with an organising committee and a management committee reporting to it.
McMaster is confident that this year's Expo - with extended dates to give exhibitors more time to prepare their displays - will be greatly improved in terms of quality and professionalism.
She says more emphasis will be placed on what Zululand has to offer tourists, business people and investors.
"However, the success of the programme depends on the financial and committed support received from local companies, sponsors and the community."
