A new business opportunity model and technology service targeting primarily Travel Management Companies has launched in South Africa, developed and backed by Book-travel.com.
The solution is also suited to large leisure agencies and hotel groups. However, the brand said it did not engage with end-users.
Companies can choose to purchase Book-travel.com’s booking software outright, with a maintenance plan optional, or pay R40 per booking or bundle (excludes VAT), regardless of domestic, international or sector numbers. Currently, there is no implementation or set-up fee, provided no extra customisation is needed.
“Book-travel.com was founded in South Africa and built for this market. There is no offering quite like it here,” saidsenior manager Nicole Adonis and group head, Earl Kennaugh, who promised a quick and easy set-up, back-end support and ongoing development.
The software is also white-labelled and can be customised with TMC or customer branding. TMCs can also choose to link their preferred GDS to the system and add key suppliers.
Using a purpose-built dashboard, corporate policies can be updated or removed. There are capabilities for travel expense monitoring and an approval workflow solution, saving customers money. Travel documents can be retrieved via a mobile app, which also pushes through live travel updates when there are delays or safety issues.
The company added: “Subscribers will be market leaders in online travel technology specifically designed for the corporate travel sector. Innovation is at the heart of Book-travel.com, which is designed to exceed customer needs.”
