No truth to UK’s new ‘e-border’ system

A report being shared on social media that the UK will be introducing an e-border system that affects dual nationality passport holders is untrue.
Travel agents contacted eTNW concerned about a change in regulations after SA Promo published an article based on outdated information saying that travellers with dual nationality would no longer be able to exit South Africa with their South African passports and enter the UK with their British or European passports (click here to see the story). It based the article on a story published in The Telegraph in 2009.
The website has since been updated: “One of our volunteer contributors based this story on relevant but out of date information,” SA Promo said.
In March this year the BBC reported that the UK Border Force had scrapped the system. Click here to see the report.
