Orient Express will take to the seas with the launch of its first cruise offering, the world’s largest ship under sail, Orient Express Silenseas.

Developed in partnership with hospitality company Accor, and shipbuilding company Chantiers de l’Atlantique, the yacht is due to set sail in 2026, with bookings opening in 2024.

The 220m-long vessel will feature 54 suites measuring on average 70sqm and carry up to 120 passengers. It will also boast a 1 415sqm Presidential Suite, which will include a 530sqm private terrace. Guests will have a choice of two swimming pools, one of which will be a lap pool, two restaurants, an oyster bar, and a speakeasy bar.

Passengers will have the opportunity to experience live shows at the Amphitheatre-Cabaret, enjoy spa treatments, meditation sessions and stopover explorations to discover cultural treasures.

According to AFAR, a US travel publication, Orient Express Silenseas will sail the Mediterranean, Adriatic, and Aegean seas during the summer months, and the Caribbean during the winter.
