Premier Hotels and Resorts has opened a business-focused hotel in Midrand, Johannesburg.

The company said the new hotel followed ongoing growth in business tourism and the demand for MICE centres.

The hotel comprises 114 rooms and four conferencing venues and facilities include a business centre, free Wi-Fi coverage throughout the hotel and secure parking. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the nearby Gallagher Estate and the Grand Central Gautrain station.

“Midrand is ideally located at the centre of the country’s busiest province and we identified it as a key area for growth in terms of business tourism,” said Samuel Nassimov, Premier Hotels and Resorts MD. “This new property is an important part of Premier Hotels and Resorts’ vision for growth in Southern Africa. Our focus is on mainstream business and leisure destinations across the country to meet the needs of the leisure, corporate and conferencing markets” he added.

The hotel is the 11th property in the Group’s portfolio.
