Princess Cruises to acquire next-gen ships

Princess Cruises and Fincantieri have signed the final contracts for the construction of two next-generation cruise ships with deliveries scheduled for 2023 and 2025.

Both ships are designed to include the brand’s MedallionClass platform, powered by OceanMedallion – a wearable technological device that improves guest personalisation. Amongst other things, the OceanMedallion offers personalised check-in, hands-free key-free room entry and access to OceanCompass – a seamless navigation system.

Each ship will weigh 175,000 tons and will accommodate about 4 300 guests.
