Proflight Zambia introduces new aircraft on Kasama route

Proflight Zambia introduced its 50-seat Bombardier CRJ-200 jet on the Lusaka-Kasama route in September.

The CRJ-200 operates on Tuesday flights since the end of September and on Thursdays from November while Sunday services continue with the Jetstream 41. The new aircraft reduces travel time to one hour and 30 minutes and adds capacity on the route.

Proflight resumed Kasama flights over a year ago, opening access to the Northern Circuit, which is home to Kalambo Falls, Chishimba Falls, hot springs and Lake Tanganyika.

The airline will also add a Tuesday flight to its Lusaka-Mansa service from the end of September and a Thursday flight from November – introducing daily frequencies on the route except on Sundays.
