Royal Caribbean Group has signed an agreement for the construction of a fourth, fifth and sixth giant Icon Class ship.

The fourth will be delivered in 2027. Star of the Seas, the second one in its class, and an unnamed third vessel will join the Icon Class by 2026.

“Since its debut, Icon has changed the game in vacation experiences and exceeded our expectations in both guest satisfaction and financial performance,” said Jason Liberty, CEO of Royal Caribbean Group.

The fourth ship will be capable of accommodating 7 600 passengers, according to Travel Weekly.

Each Icon Class ship is built with energy-efficient technologies, including a combination of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and fuel cell technology for cleaner-burning fuel and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
