Royal Caribbean International has resumed cruising for the first time in 16 months, and has outlined a set of restrictions for travellers who are not fully vaccinated. RCI says these restrictions also apply to travellers who claim to be vaccinated but refuse to show evidence of having received the vaccine.
Travel insurance covering illness due to COVID will be compulsory for any unvaccinated traveller going on a cruise, until at least August 31.
RCI has also detailed the exact restrictions unvaccinated passengers can expect on board. Vaccinated passengers will be easily identified with wristbands issued before boarding.
Unvaccinated passengers cannot access the Chef’s Table, R Bar, Pub, Solarium Bar, Solarium Pool, Casino Bar, Vitality Spa, Viking Crown Nightclub, Izumi Hibachi & Sushi, or Casino Royale. As for shows, they cannot attend the Crazy Quest Game Show or Party in Studio B.
The on-board gym will be available for unvaccinated guests only at specified times, and bookings must be made.
