The FIFA World Cup in Qatar kicks off on November 21 and runs until December 18 and there are a number of packages available for South Africans.
Fli-Afrika Travel and EduSport are the only two Exclusive Sales Agents of MATCH Hospitality in South Africa, for the sale of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Official Hospitality Programme.
EduSport has two different single match packages on offer, one for group games and another for quarter-final matches. The operator also offers a package for the final round series (semi-final and final). For the final round series, packages start from US$7 550 (R120 100) for MATCH Club (which includes the match ticket and seat in the middle top-half of the stadium, food, beverages, a gift and parking), up to US$34 300 (R544 700) for Pearl Lounge (which includes the match ticket and seat on the half-way line, a first-class lounge with a hosting team, food, beverages, a gift and parking).
Nicky Bell, CEO of Edusport, told Travel News that the operator provided everything for clients on their journey to Qatar – from start to finish. “We offer match tickets and hospitality as a combined packet. We are a one-stop for clients to get everything they will possibly need.”
Imraan Camroodien, Operations Manager of Fli-Afrika Travel, told Travel News that the operator had in the past offered specific packages for previous FIFA World Cup tournaments but now that it was possible to watch more than one match per day, live, Fli-Afrika had a different offering.
“Clients can pick which matches they want to watch and we can create packages according to their needs,” he said.
The tournament will be played across eight stadiums around Doha and the 80 000-seat Lusail Stadium will host the final.
