Virgin Voyages launched its third ship, Resilient Lady, on May 14, departing from its homeport of Athens on a seven-day maiden voyage to the Greek Islands.
During the European summer season, the ship will sail the Adriatic Sea along the Croatian coastline, as well as to the Greek Islands and a bay in the Balkans.
After its inaugural season in Greece, Resilient Lady will embark on a trans-continental voyage to Australia and New Zealand from December 11, 2023 to March 27, 2024.
The ship features five new shows, two new soirées in The Manor nightclub, on-board parties, live music acts and a festival stage of rotating performances, according to travelagentcentral.com. There are also new food and beverage offerings on board, including the Razzle Dazzle After Dark menu curated in partnership with US chef, Eric Haugen.
To celebrate the ship’s debut, the brand is introducing ‘Opa Hour’ in honour of the Greek culinary tradition, with Greek-inspired food and beverages.
Said Virgin Voyages founder, Richard Branson: “Virgin Voyages breaking into the cruise world is a true example of taking something ordinary, and making it extraordinary. We have shown the world all that we have to offer when it comes to experiencing the holiday of your dreams and I can’t wait to showcase this incredible experience in Greece, visiting some of my favourite places in the world.”
