Royal Caribbean has announced the entertainment and dining options that will be available on its newest Icon-class ship, Star of the Seas.

Debuting in August from Port Canaveral, Florida, the 5 610-passenger ship will embark on seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises, with stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island in The Bahamas.

Entertainment on board will include five signature shows across stage, air, water and ice. The Royal Theatre will present Back to the Future: The Musical, featuring the largest orchestra at sea, as well as Create, a Royal Caribbean original production that follows the journey of a robot character.

The Aquatheatre will host Pirates & Mermaids, which blends dance, diving and comedy, while a second aqua show, Torque, will showcase athletic performances by dancers, synchronised swimmers and slackliners.

At the Absolute Zero ice rink, the ice-skating show, SOL, will feature Royal Caribbean’s largest skating cast to date.

Dining highlights include the AquaDome Market, exclusive to the Icon Class, with five food stands offering a mix of South East Asian, South American and American barbecue dishes.

Other casual dining options include the Surfside Eatery, Basecamp in Thrill Island and the Windjammer buffet, which offers more than 12 types of cuisine daily.

The Lincoln Park Supper Club, a multi-course concept restaurant inspired by 1930s Chicago, will debut on the Star.

For pre-show dinners, guests can choose from Chops Grille for steaks, Izumi Hibachi & Sushi, or the private Celebration Table experience.
