SAA Acting CEO on special leave

The Board of SAA has placed the Acting Group CEO, Matshela Seshibe, on special leave, pending the outcome of an internal process.

Seshibe was appointed Acting Group CEO in April following the resignation of John Lamola

“We recognise the responsibility entrusted to us and will continue to act decisively and in the best interests of the airline and all of its stakeholders,” said SAA Board Chairperson, Sedzani Mudau.

The Board has appointed Chief Legal Officer, Koekie Mbeki as Acting Group CEO with immediate effect. Mbeki brings extensive institutional knowledge of SAA, having spent the past decade with the organisation.
