SAA launches upgraded seats on new A330s

AN UPGRADED
business-class product
features in SAA’s new
A330-300s, which were
recently introduced on the
airline’s Washington, Lagos
and São Paulo services.
The new business-class
seat is in a staggered 1-2-1
configuration and offers
increased privacy and aisle
access for all passengers.
Extra wide at 58cm, it
reclines to a fully flat 180°
and extends to almost 2m.
Tray tables pop out at
the push of a button and
stowage space is increased.
Each of the 46 seats
is equipped with a 38cm
video screen, power socket
and USB port for charging
laptops, phones and tablets.
Seat covers are padded for
extra comfort, and bedding
comprises duvet and
luxuriously large pillows.
The economy-class seat,
too, is a new design – a
slim-line seat with extra
personal space and legroom.
The 203 seats are
fitted with 25cm screens,
individual USB charging
ports and access to shared
PC power points.
In the middle of the
economy-class cabin, a
bathroom that is double the
normal size accommodates
wheelchairs and has nappychanging
facilities.
