SAA reduces capacity

SAA has reduced its flight capacity due to the low demand for air travel.

In a statement, the airline announced that flights that had been negatively impacted, more than others, have been cancelled.

From March 17 until March 31, SAA has cancelled 162 flights, 38 of which are international and 124 are regional flights.

The airline will continue to assist travellers wishing to repatriate to their home countries, including South African citizens abroad wishing to return home. They will also transfer qualifying passengers to or from the destinations that have been classified as high-risk areas.

It has updated its Customer Reservation Policy, and is now offering customers one free ticket change.
