Seabourn’s new expedition ship, the Seabourn Pursuit, is scheduled to launch in August, and will have its inaugural cruise season from late November until late March 2024.

The ship’s inaugural year features explorations of Antarctica. The ship’s Discovery Centre was designed with the shapes of the organic topography of the destination in mind. The curves of the plush custom seating surround a large screen which will be used to display immersive audio-visual experiences and conduct lectures, briefings and Seabourn Conversations to educate guests throughout the expedition experience.

The Expedition Lounge features furniture in a variety of warm, neutral materials, an etched glass partition showcasing a map of Antarctica and intricate expedition tools and devices on display in vitrines.

The Seabourn Square acts as a social living room, library, information centre and coffee bar. It is equipped with range of concierge services such as general ship information, assistance with special service requests, port and travel information, and more. It has a European coffee bar that serves pastries, on-the-go breakfast snacks, light sandwiches, desserts and artisanal gelati.

The Constellation Lounge is the highest indoor viewing point on the ship, with a 270-degree view from floor-to-ceiling glass walls. The lounge will offer Early Morning Riser continental breakfasts, and Afternoon English Tea. At night the lounge will have live piano entertainment and serve cocktails and tapas.

The ship has a spa and wellness centre; dining venues include The Restaurant and Colonnade.

Seabourn is represented in South Africa by Cruises International, Development Promotions and White Star Cruises and Travel.
