Self-service bag-drop opens in Lanseria

LANSERIA Airport will
introduce self-service bagdrop
at the end of this
month, the first airport
in South Africa to do so.
The service makes use of
SITA’s self-service systems
to allow passengers to
check in and drop-off their
bags. Passengers who have
checked in online or on their
phone will be able to tag
their bags and drop them off
in under a minute by making
use of SITA’s Scan&Fly
self-service bag-drop unit.
Lanseria is also making use
of SITA’s Airport iValidate
system, which allows
automatic verification of
different types of boarding
passes, from home-printed
to mobile boarding
passes. This will speed
up the check-in process,
and increase security for
passengers.

Sunrise yoga experience on Table Mountain

SATORI Africa has
partnered with Follow the
Sun and Table Mountain
Aerial Cableway to launch
the Table Mountain
Sunrise Yoga Experience.
The exclusive experience,
which lasts between two
and three hours, allows
guests to take the first
cableway of the day,
before the crowds arrive.
They can experience the
mountain while it is still
quiet while having a yoga
class overlooking Cape
Town and Lion’s Head. The
class is followed by coffee
and muffins. The return
ticket allows guests to ride
down again at their leisure,
leaving them free to spend
more time exploring the
mountain, join the free
guided tour or just enjoy
the view.
