Showcase your travel deals in Travel Week

22 Aug 2023

South Africans may be feeling the economic pinch, but domestic travel is on the rise, exceeding pre-pandemic levels by 41,0% from 2022, with overnight domestic spending increased by 24,4% compared with Q1 2022.

It’s clear that South Africans are keen to discover the splendours of their own backyard and they are finding value in the experience. Now is the opportune time for our country’s travel industry to give local travellers what they crave. It’s time for Sho’t Left Travel Week.

From September 4-10, 2023, the annual Sho’t Left Travel Week is a unique occasion for South Africa’s tourism industry to maximise tourism success with exclusive and unbeatable travel deals. The Great South African sale hosted by Sho't Left is open for every member of the tourism industry to upload their deals, going as far as 50% off.

Travel Week is for the tourism industry by the tourism industry and aims to boost value for all participating members, backed by a significant marketing investment from South African Tourism. The result is a powerful platform with a strategically targeted, multi-channel marketing plan that will optimise market exposure for local tourism businesses and generate excitement around the best local deals in every province.

Below are some tips for the tourism trade to make the most of this year’s Sho’t Left Travel Week extravaganza.

WHO CAN REGISTER?

Registrations are open to all trade members. South African Tourism encourages everyone from accommodation, airlines, car rental and transfer companies to museums, restaurants, activities, and experiential businesses to register deals for this year’s Travel Week.

HOW MANY DEALS CAN YOU REGISTER?

Participants can register for as many deals as they like. They can also add, edit, or remove deals at any time following registration. However, Travel Week registration runs from July 1 to August 25, 2023.

HOW SHOULD A DEAL BE COMPOSED?
