From July 7 July 8, Singapore Airlines and SilkAir will migrate their reservations system to the Amadeus Altéa suite.
Please take note of the following key events (all timings in South African local time):
• 07 July 2012, 12h00 hours: Closure of refunds / re-issue for all flights.
• 07 July 2012, 17h30 hours: Closure of all ticketing functions for travel agents.
Agents with clients flying over this period should note that:
• All refunds or re-issues of tickets should be completed before 12h00 hours on July 7.
• Please complete and / or update all reservations and ticketing formalities, including dietary, seating or special service requirements for passengers travelling on July 8 or July 9 in passenger’s bookings by 17h30 hours on July 7
• Agents can continue to make reservations in the GDS system but the reservation will be on "Pending" status. All such reservations will be duly processed after the SQ / MI’s host system is fully operational.
• Include passenger’s contact details (a valid email account, and/or mobile phone number including the country code) in the booking.
• Provide your customers with a printed copy of their electronic ticket and advise them to present this together with their travel documents when they turn up for check-in at the airport.
• Online check-in for flights departing on July 82 will not be available. Please remind customers that check-in is only available at the airport of departure where the counters will open three hours before the scheduled time of departure.
