Star Clippers has launched its 2013 programme, with all voyages now open for reservations. Passengers can benefit from early-booking savings of up to 20%, depending on the voyage selected.
All three vessels, Star Clipper, Star Flyer and Royal Clipper will position from the Caribbean to Europe in a series of transatlantic crossings during March and April 2013.
Star Flyer will once again sail northern Europe and the Baltic states between May and August 2013 with itineraries that include the Hamburg Sailing Parade in May and the Rostock Sailing Parade in August 2013. Between September and October, Star Flyer operates a series of voyages visiting Spain and Morocco before repositioning to the Caribbean.
Royal Clipper will spend the summer months sailing along the Amalfi coast and incorporating Sicily, as well as 10- and 11-night voyages from Rome and Venice, visiting Italy, Croatia and Montenegro.
Star Clipper spends much of the European summer months exploring the Greek Isles and Turkey with regular departures from Athens as well as a short series of 10- and 11-night voyages from Athens and Venice that include Greece, Montenegro and Croatia. Star Clipper ends her summer season with itineraries from Barcelona and Rome sailing to Corsica, France and Spain.
“Star Clippers enjoy a very high percentage of repeat passengers from the South African market, which is one of the best endorsements a product can have” said Gaynor Neill, General Manager of Cruise Vacations (local GSA for Star Clippers). “Repeat passengers receive a further 5% saving on all voyages” added Gaynor.
“South African travellers like trying something a little different, a little special and adventurous. There is forever a ‘buzz’ about the list of ‘experiences to do before the next milestone birthday’ or items for the ’bucket list ‘– Star Clippers fits that genre perfectly. It’s a cruise experience that offers passengers luxury and elegance but in a relaxed and informal environment, while sailing some of the world’s most exotic and interesting destinations,” said Gaynor.
