TAAG ups flights to Mother City

TAAG Angola Airlines
will operate year-round
daily flights between
Luanda and Cape Town
from October 30. The
airline currently operates
three flights a week on the
route.
“This will match our daily
service to Johannesburg
and it is making use of
the enhanced bilateral
agreement between South
Africa and Angola,” says
TAAG Angola Airlines’ chief
commercial officer, William
Boulter.
The flights will be
operated by a B777-200
with 14 seats in first class,
51 in business class and
170 in economy.
“The new frequencies
begin in time for the
traditional peak season,”
says William.
A flight schedule is yet to
be confirmed, but will be at
roughly the same times as
the flights that are currently
operating from Cape Town,
he says, adding that the
flights will also provide
connections for travellers
from South Africa flying via
Luanda to Portugal, Brazil,
Cuba and to other points in
Africa.
