Take note: Sinfonia CT docking delayed

MSC Cruises said in a Facebook post that the docking of MSC Sinfonia in Cape Town had been delayed due to bad weather.

The statement from MSC is as follows:

As we mentioned earlier, the entry attempt into Cape Town was aborted due to increasing wind speed, and at present the port of Cape Town remains closed.

We expect the MSC Sinfonia to enter the port at 06:00 tomorrow morning (Tuesday December 11). We kindly request that all passengers residing in Cape Town who were scheduled to embark today (Monday December 10) return home and to report back to the port of Cape Town on Tuesday morning between 08:00 and 09:00 for embarkation.

All out-of-town passengers will be accommodated overnight in Cape Town. As a result of this delay the planned visit to Lüderitz will not be possible. The intention is to re-route the vessel tomorrow morning on a three-night cruise to Mossel Bay. We wish to thank all those affected for their support and patience.
