After more than 10 years of absence, TAP Air Portugal may return to the South African market.
According to the Portuguese press, during a recent tourism conference in Lisbon, airline board chairperson, Miguel Frasquilho, said the carrier had plans to return to South Africa.
However, when eTNW contacted the airline’s local representation, they advised that new aircraft would only be acquired next year and any potential re-entry into the South African market would not be before the end of next year, or 2020.
