Tash takes the reins

NATASHA Schmidt has

been promoted Divisional

head: Travel publications

at Now Media.

TNW, eTNW and TAM

will fall into her sphere of

responsibility. She takes

over the role from ceo

Anton Marsh.

Raised in Nigel,

a University of

Johannesburg journalism

and honours English

graduate, Tash has been with Now

Media since 2007, having been

hired as a researcher for Travelinfo.

She then wrote for the inbound

magazine Tourism Update for 18

months, before starting in the retail

and corporate travel

division.

Natasha was made

editor of TNW in 2012.

She was in this role for

three and a half years

during which time she

took on post-graduate

studies in management

at the Gordon Institute

of Business Sciences,

achieving her PMD in

2015. She was made

deputy publisher at the beginning of

the year.

Married to Justin she has a

little daughter and lives in Illovo,

Johannesburg, a block away from the

office.
