Thompsons Holidays has introduced a range of local pet-friendly holidays.
Offers include:
- A two-night Drakensberg package at the three-star Little Switzerland Resort, from R999pps includes two nights’ accommodation in a two-bedroom self-catering chalet (based on four people sharing), sparkling wine, a fruit basket, and a 10% discount on dinner and on-site activities. Pets are charged R100 per animal per day. Only small and medium-size dogs are allowed. Dog beds and bowls are provided.
- A three-night West Coast package at The Farmhouse Hotel in Langebaan costs from R1 103 per person sharing. The rate includes breakfast daily. Pets are charged R170 per pet per night. Only small to medium-size dogs, cats and caged pets are allowed, with a maximum of one pet permitted per unit.
- A two-night Oudtshoorn package at the four-star Berluda Farmhouse and Cottages is priced from R1 230 per person sharing. Rate includes breakfast daily. Stay a third night for per person and receive a free ostrich farm tour. Pets stay free of charge.
- A two-night package at the four-star Harbour House Hotel in Hermanus costs from R1 687 per person sharing. Rate includes breakfast daily. Pets are charged R170 per pet per night. Only small to medium-size dogs are allowed with a maximum of two pets permitted per unit. Pet bed and bowls are included.
All pets must be confined to the pet owner’s unit and must not be allowed to roam free. Pets should not be left unattended on patios or balconies and are only allowed in specific pet-friendly areas specified by the hotel. Guests are responsible for clearing up after their pets.
