Thornybush drops boundary

THORNYBUSH Nature

Reserve has begun

removing its eastern

boundary fence with the

Timbavati, a process that

should be complete by early

May.

According to Thornybush

Luxury Game Lodge

Collection’s md, Nic Griffin,

as Timbavati is unfenced to

the Kruger National Park, the

removal will make the

14 500-hectare Thornybush

also open to the Greater KNP.

“This has been part of the

grand plan for this popular

reserve for some time.”

Nic says the alteration

has been applauded by

conservationists and should

integrate poaching security.

The dropping of the fence will

allow increased freedom of

movement for animal species

and a richer game-viewing

experience for guests at 11 of

the 12 lodges in the collection;

one of them, Simbambili, is in

the northern Sabi Sand.
