R1,9bn will be invested in new hotels in South Africa this year, according to the SA Hotel Investment
Outlook report released by JLL. JLL, a financial firm that specialises in commercial real estate and
investment management, also predicts that around R6,9bn will be invested over the next three years,
which translates into 3 900 new rooms across South Africa.
