Trafalgar introduces guided holidays for Muslim travellers

Trafalgar has partnered with local Muslim tour operator, Tayyib Travel, to introduce new guided travel itineraries specially tailored to the needs and interests of Muslim travellers.

The first trip is a two-week tour of Turkey, departing after Ramadan, on June 19 and includes 13 nights’ hotel accommodation, breakfast daily, 11 dinners, two lunches (including a signature Trafalgar Be my Guest experience at the Taurus Mountain Muslim Village), travel by luxury air-conditioned coach, an expert Travel Director, all hotel service charges and tips, must-see sights with VIP entry, unique Insider Experiences and airport transfers. Visits to Istanbul, Bursa, Kusadasi, Pamukkale, Antalya, Konya, Cappadocia, Ankara and other key attractions are included.

Teresa Richardson, md of The Travel Corporation South Africa, says  travel agents can now offer their Muslim clients this specialist tour that will meet their faith-based needs and give them the opportunity to delve deeper into Turkey’s Ottoman culture and discover the Islamic heritage of the country.

Muslim-friendly guided holidays to Spain and Italy are also in the pipeline, with departures planned for this year.

The Turkey itinerary is priced from R29 000 (land-only) per person sharing. Price valid until May 5. The trip is commissionable (10%) on the land portion.
