New Prague-Munich train
Private rail operator Leo Express will begin Prague-Munich services from December, with stops in Pilsen, Holýšov and Domažlice in the Czech Republic and Furth im Wald, Schwandorf, Regensburg, Landshut, and Freising in Germany.
Leo Express will also offer through connections via Prague to Warsaw, Krakow, Przemyśl, Prešov or Bratislava.
On the 439km Prague-Munich route, eight connections will operate per day at a two-hour frequency.
Japan plans fine-dining train
Japan is expected to launch a new fine-dining restaurant train by March 2028, offering a sophisticated dining experience. The train will be manufactured by Hitachi Rail for Seibu Railway Co. Ltd.
The Fine Dining Train ‘vies’ builds on Seibu Railway’s existing ‘Fifty-Two Seats of Happiness’ restaurant train, which has been operating since 2016.
The new train is designed to provide a more refined and exclusive dining atmosphere, where all passengers can enjoy a multi-course meal.
