TTS gets B-BBEE Level One

12 Jul 2019 - by Sarah Robertson

Tourvest Travel

Services has

achieved level-one

B-BBEE status, improving

its previous level two

rating. The company says

this achievement has been

independently audited and

verified.

Ceo of Tourvest Travel

Services, Morné du

Preez, says its level one

achievement will assist

the business with its key

focus of creating and

contributing to sustainable

tourism through a steady

transformation and

development process.

Morné says the

improved rating was

achieved by implementing

improvements in TTS’s

Skills Development,

Enterprise Develop and

Supplier Development

areas. While he says TTS

had been successful to a

certain point in acquiring

government, stateowned entity and large

corporate accounts with

the company’s previous

level-two certification,

Morné says that level

one is optimal for winning

tenders.

“This is a very exciting

time for us as we have

achieved this not just via

‘window’ dressing a small

subsidiary but through the

whole of TTS incorporating

the correct practices and

working toward a business

that creates value in our

communities. We are very

proud of this.”
