Turkish Airlines launches transit tours

Turkish Airlines has launched complimentary tour services for passengers in transit at Istanbul Airport.

Touristanbul is a free service for travellers who have six to 24 hours to spare between flights. Eight different tours visit historic sites and offer authentic Turkish cuisine experiences in the city.

Travellers can sign up at the Turkish Airlines Hotel Desk in International Arrivals, and should arrive for their tours half an hour in advance. Transport is provided and Touristanbul will take responsibility in case the tours cause passengers to miss their flights.

There is a Sightseeing Tour, Balat Tour, Half-Day Tour, Full-Day Tour, Afternoon Tour, Evening Tour, Bosphorus Tour and a Shopping Tour. They feature retail centres as well as attractions that have historical, natural, environmental, and religious importance, including the Aqueduct of Valens, Beyazit Square, the Church of St Mary, Yenikapi Harbour, Golden Horn natural harbour, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia Museum and the Grand Bazaar.
