Two SA luxury trains top-ranked

South Africa’s Rovos Rail and The Blue Train have made it on to Japan Rail Pass’s most popular luxury trains list.

Japan Rail Pass analyses a combination of variables, including global search volumes, Instagram hashtags and reviews on TripAdvisor, reports Cape Town Etc.

Rovos Rail came in at fourth place and The Blue Train was placed sixth.

According to the survey, the ten best luxury trains in the world are:

1.Rocky Mountaineer, Canada

2. GoldenPass Express, Switzerland

3.The Ghan, Australia

4.Rovos Rail, South Africa

5.Seven Stars, Japan

6.The Blue Train, South Africa

7.Venice Simplon Orient Express, UK

8.British Pullman, UK

9.The Royal Scotsman, Scotland

10.Maharajas’ Express, India
