United considers new premium business-class

Update: Travel News apologises for the erroneous reference to a cabin class that is only under consideration by United Airlines. Additionally, we have amended the information on United's route from Johannesburg, which is solely to Newark NYC.

United Airlines is reportedly considering a new premium business-class offering on the Boeing 787s that the airline has on order, which may mean doors and a new ‘push button for champagne’.

According to onemileatatime.com, the airline is in the process of asking its frequent flyers what they would pay an additional cost for on their flights. Preferences include priority check-in, Polaris lounge seated dining, preboarding, an enhanced amenity kit, and a mattress kit.

United currently flies direct from Johannesburg to Newark Liberty International Airport.
